Responsibilities
- Be the go-to person on all things design
- Work with a fun bunch of product & engineering people to promote good & consistent design
- Establish visual language and interaction style guide
- Establish and evangelize design best practices and promote design thinking
- Develop storyboards, mock-ups, prototypes and other neat things to effectively communicate new and delightful user experiences
- Produce a super cool library of reusable visual artifacts and interaction elements
- Have the user’s back at every stage of the design & development process
- Come up with awesomely simple experiences that allow our users to easily tackle hard problems like navigating through huge piles of data
- Understanding and solving functional problems for a variety of data management, visualization and analytics user scenarios
- Rationalize design decisions to peers and stakeholders
Qualifications:
- An incredible design sense and a love for staying current with design trends and UX best practices
- Excruciating attention to detail
- Obsession for creating simple, clean and intuitive user experiences
- Some sort of formal training or education in a discipline that likely has “Design” in the title
- At least 7 years of experience designing awesomeness
- Mastery of all the tools every good UX designer needs (Sketch, Axure, InVision, Photoshop and many more)
- Some experience with the technical stuff would be good but is not mandatory (e.g., XAML, HTML5, JavaScript)
- Desire to be challenged with your work and enjoy working as part of a great team
- Amazing communication skills
